The Scenic Route

rgv That's a deep look to the past Brock Berrigan. Charade and insanity laughs to begin with, then such a graceful, enjoying song as An Old Love Tale is, then a whole album walking between violent and calm, peaceful rhythms, all spiced with eventual egotrips — I love the one in Traveling Man which says “You know Brock? You remind me of someone...” and “Let's see who you are behind that mask” opening Whiskey on a Jetski.
To sum up, a really good one! Favorite track: Bird Law.

flakee One of my favorite moments on the album is the flow between the dreamy piano samples on the track, ‘Sometime (feat. Allem Iversom)’, and the perfectly-swung, shuffled drum sounds on the following song, ‘Snow Canyon.’ The beautifully arranged raw aesthetics of human voices and natural environments on ‘Snow Canyon’ make this album worth repeats for summers on summers. Favorite track: Snow Canyon.

Joseph "The Auracle" Guthrie There's never been a single moment where Brock has let me down. 'The Scenic Route' is a sensational collection of beats that achieves its objective of taking the listener on a journey similar to the one Berrigan actually took. A must-listen and a shoe-in as an entry on my list of 2019's albums you must have. Favorite track: Traveling Man.

about

Limited edition vinyl available here qrates.com/projects/18932

Made most of this album on the road in Utah overlooking canyons and hiking through national parks. All the background sounds were recorded in Utah, including the Native American chants. This is a culmination of my ten years of making beats, combining everything I have learned along the way into this album. I wanted to convey the feeling of driving through the desert in a convertible into musical form, taking the scenic route.
Cheers
